Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Mark & Code Calculator Engine collects, why, and where it goes.

1. Information you provide

When you request a consultation, unlock a paid report, or submit feedback, we collect what you choose to enter: name, company, email, mobile number, country, and the calculator inputs relevant to your scenario (technology, industry, print volume, running-cost/TCO figures, etc.). Feedback submissions can be made anonymously.

2. Anonymous usage analytics

If enabled, the Service uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate visitor behavior — which pages and calculators are used, and how often. This is anonymous: no name, email, or contact detail is attached to analytics events.

3. Payment information

Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI ID, or bank details — Razorpay handles that under its own security and privacy practices. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, plus a payment reference ID for support and refund purposes.

4. AI processing

Messages you send to the AI Advisor, and the calculator context used to generate the Advanced AI Report, are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to produce a response. This exchange is subject to Anthropic’s own data handling terms. We do not send your name, email, or mobile number to the AI — only the technical/calculator context needed to answer your question.

5. Where your data is stored

  • Locally in your browser (so the app remembers your inputs and onboarding state between visits).
  • If configured, forwarded to a private Google Sheet controlled by the developer, used to follow up on consultation requests and feedback.
  • If configured, emailed to the developer as a notification when a new lead or feedback item comes in.

6. Cookies & local storage

The Service uses browser local storage (not third-party ad-tracking cookies) to remember things like whether you've completed onboarding, dismissed the install prompt, or already used your free download for a technology. This data stays on your device unless you submit a form.

7. Your rights

You can ask for the personal information we hold about you (name, email, mobile, company) to be shown to you or deleted, by contacting us via the Feedback page or the consultation contact form.

8. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

9. Contact

Questions about this Policy can be sent via the Feedback page in the app, or the "Get a Consultation" contact form.
